Ulta Concealers Review
My concealer journey has been a long one. Different products have been better than others but I am always on the hunt for the ultimate "wake me up" product that will fool the world into thinking I actually sleep and drink water. SO. I took a trip to Ulta to see what I could find. Turns out, I am just about the palest thing alive. AND the pinkest.
Here is what I learned!
Illuminate, Amazing Concealer
Variety: 10 Shades
Price: $30
Thoughts: This is the first one I tried. Literally dabbed it on in the car before taking off. A few hours later, I check the mirror and the pigment is pretty much gone, but there is a line of fine GLITTER (say wha??) under my eyes. Haven't touched it since.
Stroke of Light, Bare Minerals
Variety: 4 Shades
Price: $23.00
Thoughts: This one was recommended to me by an Ulta employee. It's nice, (and pink enough for me!) and would be good for a little brightening but not if you need any real coverage.
Studio Skin 24 Hour Waterproof Concealer, Smashbox
Variety: 10 Shades
Price: $25.00
Thoughts: Similar to the one before, this one would be great on days where I didn't need much coverage because of it's a lighter consistency, but it's not enough for me.
Maracuja Creaseless Concealer, Tarte Cosmetics
Variety: 14 Shades
Price: $25.00
Thoughts: This one was a great buy! Lots of shades to pick from and super pigmented. It is dense so a little goes a long way! I like to warm it in between my fingers before applying and blend with a brush to prevent overdoing it.
Bye Bye Under Eye, IT Cosmetics
Product: it cosmetics, Bye Bye Under Eye
Variety: 4 Shades
Price: $24.00
Thoughts: This one is my favorite! I feel like it stays put just a tad better than the option from Tarte, and has great texture and pigmentation. With these thicker consistencies it's easy to apply to much and end up looking cakey so be gentle!
What's your favorite?? I'm not sure I want the hunt to end! Let me know in the comment section!
