Double Twist
This Double twist is a half up version of that twisted/flipped ponytail your mom used to do to your hair when you were in middle school! ( or was that just me?! ) This is my beautiful friend Joci :) and she is our model for the Double twist today!
I started by curling Joci's hair (this style also looks great on natural, straight or curly hair ) I took two even sections from either side, leaving some of her natural bang pieces out, and a brought them to the back of her head and secured it with elastic.
Make an opening in the hair above the elastic with your fingers and take the end of the ponytail and flip it through that opening. I then loosen the hair little bit by pulling on some of the strands.
And I repeated the exact same thing with the second sections! The reason I like to loosen up the strands, is just to create a little more of a softer effect with the twist and curls.
I don't like to see elastic, so I chose to hide it with a section of Joci's hair. I do this by taking a little piece of hair, teasing it a bit to get some texture, then I wrap it around the elastic and secure it with a bobby pin.
Of course, we finish everything with a good spray of hairspray! :)
And here is the finished product! Let me know how this hairstyle goes for you and I always love to see pictures of your own finished products! <3
